Chappie

'Chappie' tells the story of a robot imbued with artificial intelligence who is stolen by two local gangsters who want to use him for their own nefarious purposes by giving him new programming. He acquires the ability to feel and think for himself. The authorities begin to see him as a danger to mankind, they will stop at nothing to ensure that Chappie is the last of his kind.
