The investigating police, in the meanwhile, got a tipoff that few sharp shooters had stayed in a local hotel right before Tarun's murder. The room was booked by one Sureshchandra Sahu. On further enquiry, it was found that he was the business partner of Shyamsunder. On sustained interrogation, Sureshchandra confessed that Shyamsunder had hired contract killers Bimal, Sumit and Jialu to kill Tarun.
