The Police Commissioner arrives at the Chowki asking for Gopi. Gulgule reports that Gopi is late and always late, and when Gopi finally arrives, the Commissioner suspends him without hearing his excuse. Chandramukhi then puts Gulgule on a late-night Chowki duty to teach him a lesson.
