
India is a vast land of seasonal extremes. Monsoon rains flood the land and make it green, but once they are gone, heat and drought build. It's a challenge for all of India's animals, but it also fosters an amazing variety of landscapes filled with diverse life from all over the subcontinent.

The Ganges River: From its holy source, deep in the Himalayas to then vast and tangled delta of the Sundarban forest, and to the deep-blue sea beyond it, Ganga flows through the heart of the nation. It carries with it precious nutrients and it irrigates some of the most fertile land in Asia.
