Kazuma returns from Arcanretia and lives without a care in the world, thanks to being debt-free from the reward money for defeating the Devil King's general, Hans. Kazuma is then approached by Ran, a rookie adventurer, who's become his fan. Later, Luna asks him to take on a quest to eliminate a golem. Wanting to impress his fan, Kazuma accepts, and heads towards ancient ruins with the others.
