An unexpected fireball falls from the ceiling and burns Maharaj's throne. Though Maharaj is unharmed, Tathacharya sees it as a bad omen and grows more alarmed after dreaming that Maharaj is murdered in his sleep. He rushes to the palace at dawn and summons Rama to find out if Maharaj is really in danger.
