For years, ordinary high-schooler Kousaka Kyousuke has had an icy relationship with his younger sister Kirino, a star athlete who is also a star student. They barely say two words to each other. One day, Kyousuke finds the DVD case of a moe-style anime lying in the foyer. His curiosity gets the better of him, and when he tries to identify who dropped it, he learns that its owner is someone he never would have suspected.
