Lord Vishnu narrates Narayana's birth and rivalry with his brother Daksha, both born of Brahma. Meanwhile, Hanuman is born to Anjana and Kesari, who adore him. To mark his birth, Anjana orders kheer to be shared across the kingdom, but Vali receives it and grows furious, deciding once more to kill baby Hanuman.
