Sutputra Karn is born to Rajkumari Kunti, who is forced to give him up. Rajkumari Kunti herself places the newly born Karn in a basket and pushes the basket gently into the flowing river. Karn, the son of the Sun God, is born with a natural shield on his chest and earrings. What will the fate of Karn, the Suryaputra be?
Adhirath lies about Karn's story. Radha is devastated on finding out Adhirath's story. Radha refuses to accept Karn as her son. How will Adhirath handle the situation?
Shon takes up the challenge thrown by his friends but ends up in trouble. However, his brother Karn comes to Shon's rescue. The two of them later march towards their mother's home with a precious stone that they have found. But shockingly, Radha ignores Karn and his precious stone and instead concentrates on Shon. Her partial behaviour towards Karn is evident when Tauji orders her to feed the meal to Karn like she is feeding Shon.
As the horses get out of control, they drag the chariot along with them where a teenager is standing. All the spectators run behind the chariot, crying for help. Just then, Karn dashes through the wind, climbs the chariot and tames the horses comfortably. Moments later, Radha reaches the scene and hugs Shon, assuming that he was in danger but Tauji who had witnessed Karn's divine act cannot help but express his wonder at what he had just witnessed.
Karn goes to the Himalayas in search of attaining knowledge so that he could get his mother's love. Karn's mother believes that, if she loves her child then it could pose a threat on her life. Karn thinks of his uncle, who once had said that he has done 12 years of Tapasya to gain knowledge by eating leaves. Karn tried doing the same but immediately dropped that idea. Meanwhile, a saint got disturbed by the noise created by Karn. Karn fearlessly went on to ask the saint about gaining knowledge.
Karn insists on lifting the bow although his brother warns him against doing so, as children are not allowed to take part in the competition. Karn however, decides to enter the competition in a disguise. With his brother's help he gets close to taking part in the competition. But soon, all find out that Karn is a little boy and they refuse to let him lift the bow.
Tauji gets worried when he sees the Kshatriyas are ready to attack Karn and he immediately gets defensive. A while later, the locals inform that no blood should be shed at an auspicious occasion and the Kshatriyas decide to spare Karn. But when it is time for Karn to return the bow, he finds it wrong.
Karn has made a specialized bow and arrow to get Kasturi Mrig. He has reached the jungle on the mountains to hunt Kasturi. While hunting, Karn meets a man. He takes Karn to his ashram. It is there, Karn is introduced to Kunti, who insists to feed him with her hands. In the meantime Karn's father is worried about his whereabouts.
Karn has gone along with Kunti in the jungles on the mountain to search for Kasturi Mrig. In meantime, Karn's father notices that Karn is not around him and gets tensed about his son's well-being. He believes that Karn could put himself and Maharani Kunti in danger and thus starts searching for him. Has Karn put himself in danger?
Adhiratha Sushena goes to Maharani Kunti to take back his son, Karn, along with him. He graciously approached Kunti and asked Karn to return back home. Karn was happy with Maharani Kunti. He started feeling the motherly love from Kunti. Kunti also treated him as her son.
