Manikantha visits Gurukul bearing some delicious fruits and some honey for his master. Seeing the despair on his Guru's face regarding his child, Manikantha asks to see Sarvottam before leaving. Manikantha treated Sarvottam's disability, and by doing so, he received the name of Aiyappa.
