Shankhchood begins to think of himself to be the invincible one. He orders to arrange all happiness and luxuries for everyone, despite their karmas and plans to stop worshipping the Gods. Riding on his high horse, Shankhchood receives an intimation from Ganesha's ambassador to not disturb the system. However, Shukracharya's company and the vanity of his secret boon, propels Shankhchood to declare that Shiva and his whole army can do him no harm, thereby throwing the challenge open for the war.
