Thinna's devotion and childlike insistence impresses Mahadev. He finally appears in front of Thinna and accepts his non-vegetarian food. While Thinna is enjoying his moments with Mahadev, the priest arrives. He sees the meat in Thinna's hand and lashes out on Thinna in anger. A few tribesmen also arrive and beat Thinna to pulp. The priest intervenes and saves Thinna's life.
