After a disappointing end to the 1st Test with the win on the horizon for India, the visitors arrived at Lord's with even more intent to take the series lead. Despite losing an important toss on a rainy day, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma batted phenomenally, forming a 126 run partnership before James Anderson left Rohit flat-footed on an impressive 83. Rahul continued his innings with poise to complete an incredible century, ending the day with an unbeaten 127.
