Richard Gleeson struck for England as he dismissed the top 3 batters. The Indian middle-order struggled as Chris Jordan picked up four wickets. But, Ravindra Jadeja propelled India to a competitive total of 170. Indian bowlers were at it again as they kept England at bay. Bhuvneshwar Kumar got a wicket off the first ball of the innings, and England never got back in the game after that. Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal picked two each and bundled England for 121 with three overs to spare.
