India sealed the series 2-1 as Rishabh Pant's maiden ODI century led India to win the match by five wickets. After being sent to bat first, England had a horrific start as Bairstow and Root were dismissed for a nought by Siraj. Buttler and Moeen Ali led England's recovery, and Craig Overton's cameo towards the end helped England post a competitive total of 259. Hardik Pandya and Chahal shared seven wickets between them as India bundled them out in consecutive matches. India also struggled to get going as they kept losing wickets and were reduced to 72/4. However, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya's partnership ensured India crossed the finish line with 7.5 overs to spare.
