The Kiwis were impressive with the bat as they posted their highest ever test total on English soil of 553 runs. Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell continued from where they left on Day 1 and piled up runs as they both notched up centuries. With a mountain to climb, the hosts didn't get the best of the starts as they lost Zak Crawley early in the innings. However, Ollie Pope scored a half-century while Alex Lees held up the other end.
