PSV and Real Sociedad kicked off the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League campaign with a 2-2 draw at the Philips Stadion. The hosts took the lead in the 31st minute through Mario Gotze, but two quick goals from Adnan Januzaj and Alexander Isak in the space of six minutes saw Sociedad leading at halftime.
